I took these photos weeks ago in the depths of New York winter, when sometimes the only way to combat the numbing cold is with black on black, on top of black. This might seem like just a little black dress at first, but it is an incredibly versatile invisibility cloak for the dozens of layers I was wearing underneath. The dress’s layered asymmetrical cut and mix of wool with pleated leather contrast is perfect for aiding winter night or event outfits, or perhaps below freezing early morning moments in Times Square like I was silly enough to brave here.
