My friends funeral was yesterday. Last night, while curled up on the couch with a glass of wine, the day repeatedly played through my mind. I came to this conclusion; at the end of the day, I couldn’t decide which was worse: losing a man who, with his family, have been close friends for the past 16 years or the heart wrenching sobs of his father and listening to those sobs as they echoed all through the church. Losing my friend or having to watch his wife and children go through the agonizing hell of losing a husband and a father. The past week has been indescribable and for once, I don’t have the words …
